Franco Medina-Mora
Composer, Producer, and Score Mixer

​

He completed his undergraduate studies in Composition and Musicology at the Centro de Investigación y Estudios de la Música (Mexico City). In 2010, he earned a Master’s degree in Advanced Composition with a specialization in Music for Audiovisual Media at the Royal College of Music (London), where he studied film scoring with Vasco Hexel and Joseph Horovitz, and contemporary music composition with Kenneth Hesketh. He was awarded a scholarship by the institution as a Regalian Scholar.

In 2012, he participated in the Progetto Opera workshop at the Accademia Chigiana (Siena, Italy), where he studied contemporary opera composition with Giorgio Battistelli and operatic dramaturgy with Antoine Gindt.

​

He has worked as a composer, producer, orchestrator, and/or music editor on projects including contemporary dance, theater, short films, documentaries, as well as feature films and series for NBC/Universal, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Filmadora Nacional, Warner Brothers, and Sony, among others. He has also collaborated on projects led by producers such as Marco Polo Constandse, Rob Lowe, and Alfonso Cuarón.

He is a professor of composition and critical studies of music for film and the performing arts at the Núcleo Integral de Composición, where he also serves as Operations Director. He is also a composition advisor and teaches music composition for media at the School of Fine Arts of Universidad Panamericana.
